I spent a wonderful feline morning at the Jewish Museum in London as part of the Pop Up Festival, with a workshop to coincide with their Judith Kerr Retrospective Exhibition.

My cat, Dr Calamari was given some very messy fur – Hugh Shampoo would have been very impressed !

It was amazing to see Judith Kerr’s original artwork for her Mog books and The Tiger Who Came To Tea.

In the summer I was lucky to work with composer John Webb and concert pianist Robin Green. We were brought together on a project funded by The Mid Wales Music Trust and The Wigmore Hall called A Musical Sketchbook.

We worked for five wonderful weeks, combining music and art workshops, with four schools in Mid Wales and two schools in Devon.

The children made up stories, wrote lyrics, composed music and illustrated their way through five workshops, culminating in inspiring performances. The project was enormous fun !

I had another really enjoyable and inspiring two day workshop, teaching Botanical Drawing to adults at Walworth Garden Farm.

I have been busy visiting schools with Hugh Shampoo too.

Temple Guiting School created the most fantastically messy hair for Hugh…
